Our introduction to the culinary world of Beaverton, Oregon, was a taste of pink guava ice cream at Ome Calli Frozen Treats, Mexican-inspired ice-cream shop that makes its frozen delights from fresh fruit. They have fresh-made red currant and passionfruit ice-bars so intense they could double-duty as aircraft parking wands on foggy nights. Their implausible Cotija ice cream was implausibly delicious.
